The AMTA Massage Anatomy Guide, developed in partnership with Books of Discovery, is a valuable resource for AMTA members. This interactive app provides a comprehensive musculoskeletal anatomy reference, offering a range of features that are beneficial for both exam preparation and client education.
 
This resource includes digital flashcards that cover a wide array of anatomical structures, including 144 muscles, 61 bones and bony landmarks, 50 joints and ligaments, and 64 common movements. The flashcards also provide information on the synergists and antagonists of each muscle.

In addition to the flashcards, the app offers a pinning feature that allows users to easily identify specific muscles, bones, and bony landmarks. The navigation is user-friendly, allowing quick access from muscle groups to individual muscles.

To test your knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, the app offers multiple options. Users can answer multiple-choice questions (available for muscle cards only), locate specific structures, and identify AOIN points. This variety provides a comprehensive approach to self-assessment.

The bookmarking feature allows users to save specific cards for future review, making it convenient and efficient to study relevant material. The Table of Contents provides easy navigation with a search capability, allowing users to search for specific cards or focus on bookmarked ones.

The app also offers the ability to zoom into illustrations for more detailed viewing using pinch touch gestures. For ease of use, the flip card feature displays illustrations on one side and details on the other (movement and muscle cards only).

The AMTA Massage Anatomy Guide is an excellent educational tool that can be utilized on-the-go.
